Yoshihiko  Iwasaki

Yoshihiko Iwasaki is the founder of Karate-Do Wado-Juku.  Iwasaki Sensei was born at Yokohama City, Japan on 21st October in 1947. He started Karate-Do when he was 18 years old while he was a University student. He participated in many sports before he started Karate.

He found that Karate has a very mysterious character and has a curious temptation

to young people. He got so passionate about Karate that he trained from morning to

evening 7 days a week without rest. 

​

Since he came to Ireland on 10th September in 1971, Iwasaki Shihan has been

training and teaching an authentic Wad0-Ryu Karate in Ireland and Europe.

 

Iwasaki Sensei is one of the most accomplished Karate-Do Instructors in Europe. 

He got to 7th Dan Kyoshi Shihan that was recognised by Hironori Ohtsuka II, who

was a Grand master of Wado-Ryu Karate-Do Organisation in 1995.

Iwasaki Shihan has a very successful record of coaching at international

championships with 3 times runner up of Kumite team and 3 times Kata champions

at the European Wado cup.

He is developing the finest members and group of Wado-Ryu Karate in Ireland and

Europe.

Currently, Iwasaki Shihan is Head Master and 10th Dan of the Wado Juku Karate-do.
